Alice Annie Hannam
(nee Smith) was born on the 17th april 1908 and sadly passed away on august 8th 1997,for 63 years
she was a devoted and loving wife of Arthur and was very proud to recieve a telegram from the queen
on august 9th 1990 as they celebrated their diamond wedding. Alice was a loving mum of Alice, Elsie,
Colin, Clive and leslie, a much loved mum-in-law of Gerald, John,Maureen and Joan and a cherished
grandma of 14, a great grandma of 28, and great great grandma of 14. Alice for many years attended
All Hallows parish church in Kirkburton and was a very active member of the Mothers Union. Her
working life was at a fireworks factory in Lepton, and she met Arthur as they passed each other as
they went to work.Alice loved her gardening and her home baking.I was very proud to call her my
grandma and i have lots of special memories of her that will stay with me forever

it was very hard and really upsetting when we lost great grandad then you but, im happy to know that youre together again and you can look after each together and be happy, i think about you all the time and i miss coming to youre house on a tuesday and thursday to see you and grandad with my mum, i wish you both could meet paul i know he would love you as much as everyone does.
i llok forward to seeing you and grandad again one day, love you aleays and forever donna xxx

Loved and missed so much
Grandma i cant believe 11 years have passed since the angels came and took you to heaven, and i want to thankyou for been such a big part of my life, for all the love and devotion you always gave us all, for all the good advice, you gave, and most importantly i want to say thankyou for not only been my Grandma but a brilliant friend as well, i have so many many happy memories of you and i promise i will treasure each and everyone of them for the rest of my life.
